South Londonderry
Township is a Township of the Second Class. It is a rural
community where farming is still an important characteristic
of the area. The Township is located in south central
Pennsylvania, between Harrisburg, Lancaster, and Lebanon. Many
State highways pass through, or nearby South Londonderry
Township making access to these areas very convenient.

LAND MASS: South Londonderry Township
is larger in size than North Londonderry Township and Palmyra
Borough combined. South Londonderry Township is approximately
24.3 square miles.
PROJECTED GROWTH:
The population of South Londonderry
Township is the fastest growing municipality in Lebanon
County. South Londonderry Township is clearly not finished
growing and will see a greater surge in population with all of
the homes that are still to be built.

CALL VOLUME:
The call volume for the South Londonderry Township
Police Department, this year, will finish the year with a
conservative estimate of 2,350 calls. This is a steep
incline from last year’s 1,809 calls, having been short
staffed for half of the year. This is a significant
difference. This has also been the most calls handled by our
police department ever.
