Two Volunteer Fire Companies are located within South Londonderry Township. They provide the Township with fire, rescue, and ambulance services. The Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company is located in the Village of Campbelltown along Route 322 - Horseshoe Pike and the Lawn Volunteer Fire and EMS Company is located in the Village of Lawn along Route 241 - Elizabethtown Road. Both companies, in conjunction with mutual aid agreements, provide services to municipalities outside South Londonderry Township, including parts of South Annville Township, North Londonderry Township, Palmyra Borough, Conewago Township, Rapho Township, and Mount Joy Township.

Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company
The Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company was founded in 1925. It presently has 35 to 45 active members, both men and women, who provide rescue and fire protection services. The company operates five pieces of equipment, including a First Response Medical Unit. The Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company's major fundraisers is the annual summer carnival held on the company grounds. In addition, the company holds various other fundraising activities, including chicken barbecues and door to door solicitations. A social hall is also available to the public to rent for social functions. Bingo is also held there during part of the year. As part of the community service provided by the company, they make their grounds available for youth activities, such as youth soccer. The fire company also has a Junior Fire Fighter program for children 14 to 18 years of age. Drill are held every Monday evening at 6:30 pm.

Lawn Volunteer Fire and EMS Company
The Lawn Volunteer Fire Company was founded in 1942. It presently has 15 active members. The department operates a pumper-tanker and four wheel drive brush truck. The Company acquired it's first ambulance and started EMS service in 1971. Presently, there are 32 EMS members. The Lawn EMS Company has two ambulances; a first response off road unit and a QRS unit. The department raises funds with three nights of carnivals, spaghetti suppers, soup sales, and the annual fund drive. There is also an aluminum can drop off center located to the front of the fire department.

Fire Police
Both fire companies have a fire police crew as part of their organization. The fire police assist the township police during emergencies involving traffic control. They also provide many civic services.
