South Londonderry Township is a Township of the Second Class. It is a rural community where farming is still an important characteristic of the area. The Township is located in south central Pennsylvania, between Harrisburg, Lancaster, and Lebanon. Many State highways pass through, or nearby South Londonderry Township making access to these areas very convenient.
The 2000 census shows the population of South Londonderry Township to be approximately 5,458. The current census is around 7,500 and growing.
