Special Announcements

Winter Storm Notice – Please Be Patient

A major winter storm has potential to impact the township from Sunday through Monday (possibly Tuesday), Current reports state we can get snowfall totals that could reach 18–20 inches depending on the storm’s track.

Our Highway Department will be working extended hours to keep roads safe and passable. During a storm of this size, roads may be plowed multiple times, and crews must prioritize main and emergency routes before residential streets.

Please note:
  • It is illegal to place snow back onto the roadway. YOU WILL BE CITED.
  • Driveways and sidewalks may be plowed shut during active snowfall—this is sometimes unavoidable.
  • If possible, wait until plowing operations are complete before final clearing.

To help keep everyone safe:
  • Limit travel during the storm.
  • Keep vehicles off roadways when possible.
  • Report line-of-sight issues at intersections caused by piled snow—this information is appreciated and helps crews respond where safety is impacted.
  • To report an issue contact office staff at 717-838-5556 or by EMAIL.  We will address issues as we can.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as our crews work through this potential extended winter event.
