Project Narrative

With Phase 1 of the Killinger Creek stream restoration being completed in the Fall of 2024, South Londonderry Township is currently working on Phase 2 of the stream restoration and riparian buffer design along another section of the Killinger Creek starting at Hinkle Road and heading South approximately 1200 feet.  The riparian buffer is proposed to be at least 35’ wide on both sides of the stream measured from the top of the streambank and will function to protect the proposed in-stream stabilization structures.  This project is being funded using grant rewards from the PA DEP Growing Greener Grant and the National Fish & Wildlife Foundation.
